No refunds allowed after 5th week or before the student has submitted the Program Exit Form and signed the Exit Summary form. The Weston Campus Residence Fee is refundable according to the above schedule for each semester. No refunds will be issued to a student who is dismissed from the program or the residence. *All Financial Aid Recipients will have their refund calculated by the Return of Title IV Fund Calculation Method. All non-financial aid recipients will have their refund calculated by the Program Refund Policy. MISCELLANEOUSNon-Nursing courses are required unless equivalent courses have been taken and exemptions granted. Students are required to purchase uniforms from McGill's, Inc., before entrance at a cost of approximately $125. Accessory items, including stethoscopes, watch, scissors and nurses' shoes may be purchased through McGill's or another store. Students order nursing texts either online or directly from a suggested textbook distributor. A Mobile Device/PDA is also required (see information below). Books for non-nursing courses are purchased separately at the Regis College Bookstore, Weston campus. Students are required to be covered by a health insurance plan and are automatically enrolled and billed in Regis College's student accident and illness plan. Students who have comparable insurance coverage through another plan may have this fee refunded. Health insurance plans are also available for the students who wish to enroll dependents. Meals may be purchased on both campuses and at most clinical sites. Students are expected to make provisions for their own meals when scheduled for learning experiences away from the school. Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation. Some clinical sites may have parking fees. These fees are the responsiblity of the student. Bills are payable before the first day of each semester. Payment plans are available thourgh TuitionPay. The discharge of all financial obligations is prerequisite to class entry, promotion and graduation. Students will not be considered registered in the program until tuition is received. Students will be billed twice per academic year. One billing will be in July for Semester I costs, and one billing will be in December for Semester II costs. Summer sessions are billed separately. Costs are subject to change without notice. Graduates will be required to pay for the cost of the required review course for NCLEX-RN licensure, lincensure examination (approximately $375) and cap and gown, approximately $50. Mobile Device-Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)All enrolled students are required to have a mobile device (PDA or Smartphone) prior to beginning nursing courses. Specific software must be purchased from the school’s selected vendor (as specified in individual nursing courses). Therefore, student mobile devices must be compatible with our selected vendors for required software. Specific vendor information is sent to students prior to the start of the first nursing course with details for ordering. Students are responsible for the repair or replacement of their mobile device (PDA/Smartphone) if it is non-operational, lost or stolen. Since the device is required for clinical, the student may be able to borrow a program-owned one on a temporary basis through the Nursing Arts Lab and Clinical Placement Coordinator. Mobile devices (PDAs/Smartphones) may be used in the clinical area only for retrieval of information relevant to patient care. Infection control precautions must be maintained when using the PDA in the patient care area. Additionally, confidentiality inherent in use of information technology applies. The telephone and camera functions of the mobile device (PDA) may not be used during class, clinical or exam reviews and the sound must be silenced. Additionally, sending or receiving text messages is prohibited during class and clinical. |
